Mode of Action

The active ingredient of Affirm® 095 SG, emamectin benzoate, belongs to the avermectins group.

It is a non-systemic insecticide effective against codling moth (Cydia pomonella).

It exhibits translaminar movement and acts mainly through ingestion.

Acts at two different sites, a characteristic that makes it a powerful molecule against resistance development.

Application Method and Timing

Apply according to recommendations from local Agricultural Warning Centers or at the onset of infestation.

Affirm has larvicidal and egg-larvicidal action.

It has a short pre-harvest interval (PHI).

Kills larvae at all developmental stages.
