Scala 40 SC
Mechanism of action:
Scala 40 SC acts as a contact fungicide with translaminar movement. Its action is based on inhibiting the secretion of hydrolytic enzymes by fungi, which are necessary for infecting plants. This mode of action makes it effective against fungal strains that are not sufficiently sensitive to other botryticides.
Crops and diseases:
• Grapevine: Botrytis bunch rot (Botryotinia fuckeliana)
• Apple: Scab (Venturia inaequalis)
• Tomato (open field and greenhouse): Gray mold (Botrytis cinerea)
• Cucumber (greenhouse): Gray mold (Botrytis cinerea)
• Cabbage (white and red): Scab (Venturia inaequalis)
• Cauliflower and Broccoli: Scab (Venturia inaequalis)
Usage instructions:
• Application method: Spraying with normal volume, thoroughly wetting the parts to be protected.
• Dosage: 150–200 ml per 100 liters of water
• Spray volume: 100–130 liters per stremma (1 stremma = 1,000 m²)
• Application interval: 10–14 days
• Pre-harvest interval (PHI): 3 days for tomato and cucumber, 28 days for apple and cabbage
• Number of applications per growing season: Depending on the crop and infestation pressure
Precautions:
• Avoid use in areas with high rainfall and sandy soils.
• To prevent resistance development, alternate with fungicides from different mode of action groups.
• Do not mix with formulations containing aluminum, calcium, or magnesium.
