The Grafting Pruner is a specialised tool designed to make the grafting and propagation of trees and plants faster, easier and more precise. It allows the user to create matching cuts on the rootstock and scion, helping achieve better contact between the two plant parts.
Grafting is a horticultural technique in which a part of one plant is joined to another plant. This method can be used to preserve desirable characteristics, combine the properties of two plants or establish productive plants on a stronger and more vigorous rootstock.
The tool is designed to create V, U and Ω-shaped cuts, allowing different grafting configurations depending on the plant and grafting method. Its compact design makes it practical for gardeners, growers, nurseries and horticultural applications.
HOW TO USE
- Select a healthy rootstock and suitable scion with compatible diameters.
- Choose the appropriate cutting profile (V, U or Ω) according to the grafting technique and plant material.
- Position the rootstock correctly inside the cutting section of the tool.
- Close the handles firmly and make a clean, controlled cut.
- Prepare the scion using the corresponding cutting profile.
- Join the two pieces carefully, ensuring that the cambium layers are in close contact.
- Secure the graft with suitable grafting tape or binding material.
- Protect the graft and monitor it until the graft union becomes established.
